WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE IN HEAVEN?

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE IN HEAVEN?

You will reign with God. Heaven will be a place where you are no longer cursed by sin. Instead, you will reign with God. “No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him” (Revelation 21:3). God will be the eternal sovereign ruler and will banish all false gods. God will eternally dethrone Satan and people who reject God. God will answer the Lord’s prayer about God’s kingdom on earth, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10 NIV).

God’s transformed righteous people will also reign with God on the new earth forever (Daniel 7:18; Revelation 22:5). Specifically, Jesus Christ will defeat evil and win the kingdom of God and become the unchallenged and absolute ruler of the universe. Thereafter, Jesus will turn over the kingdom to God the Father (Matthew 19:28; 1 Corinthians 15:28). Jesus, God, and his people will rule the new earth and live together in eternal happiness and joy, forever deepening their loving relationships, as God’s glory permeates every aspect of the new heaven and new earth (Luke 19:17-19). Heaven is like a city and country.

God describes heaven as like a city (Hebrews 11:10, 13:14) and a country (Hebrews 11:16). God’s references to “nations” on the new earth imply that civilizations will be resurrected, which will include human cultures with distinctive ethnic traits, but still are all God’s glorified and pure people. There will be no abominations and nothing that is spiritually unclean in heaven or those who practice the same, such as no immoral people, murderers, idolators, and the like (Revelation 21:8, 24, 26-27, 22:15). Your activities in heaven.

According to Revelation chapters 21 and 22, you will eat, drink, work, worship, learn, travel, and experience many of the things you experience now. In the future eternal new heaven and new earth, God/Jesus “will wipe every tear from their (Christians’) eyes. There will be no more mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4 NIV).
