WILL YOU KNOW EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN?
You will seek and gain greater knowledge in heaven.
You will be filled with the knowledge of glory of God in heaven. The LORD God replied, “For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. … For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the Waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:3, 14 NIV). You will see with clarity (1 Corinthians 13:12), but you will know everything comprehensively. Although only God is omniscient,
you will be flawless and know much more than you did on earth. But you will not know everything in heaven because you are not God. Angels in heaven will also be flawless, but long to know more (1 Peter 1:12). You also will seek and gain greater knowledge because God placed you in heaven where he will reveal himself “in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6-7 NIV). With your resurrected body and resurrected brain, your capacity to learn will greatly increase. As Jesus said to his disciples, “Learn from me” (Matthew 11:29), you will learn from God and Jesus for eternity in heaven. Since God always knows more than you, you will continue to learn more about God and heaven. Randy Alcorn, Heaven (Carol Stream, IL: Tyndale House, 2004), 305-315.
